Roland K Kafuuma, MD, FACP, CLS, is a physician whose primary specialty is internal medicine. He is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery (ASLMS) and the American Laser Institute. Dr. Kafuuma is a Certified Laser Specialist (CLS). He received his Medical Laser Certification in 2021 and since then has attended various anti-aging conferences and the use of different Energy Based Modalities.
From a young age, Dr. Kafuuma has always had a passion for teaching. He often teaches students how to use different devices at his office. Dr. Kafuuma graduated from medical school at Makerere Medical School in Uganda in 1999. He then moved to the US and later completed his Internal Medicine residency training in Canton, Ohio.
Since graduation in 2008, he practiced internal medicine mainly focusing on the care of inpatient chronic adult medical illnesses.
His passions are track and field, fitness, wellness, and international travel. He had travelled to over 42 countries on four different continents.
Dr. Kafuuma is multi-lingual. He is fluent in two languages but can also communicate in at least 4 other languages including Spanish. Following the long and taxing Covid-19 dilemma, Dr. Kafuuma decided to expand his knowledge in the anti-aging and preventive medicine rather than treating chronic illnesses. He has an extensive wealth of knowledge regarding the use of non-pharmaceutical treatment for various conditions.
Dr. Kafuuma is a member of the USA Track and Field (USATF) and Team USA. He competes in the 60m, 200m,300m, and 400m as a Masters athlete at various local, regional, national and international track meets. His most recent international track meets were at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Tampere, Finland in 2022 and Torun, Poland in 2023.
As an athlete, he understands the frustration of sports injuries and the time required for recovery. With this knowledge, he focuses on speeding the recovery of injured tissues using state-of-the-art medical treatments that include the use of platelet rich plasma (PRP), Shockwave Therapy and High Intensity Laser (Hot Laser). His ultimate goal is enabling you to look good, feel great, optimize your performance and reduce the need for prescription medications.
